It starts at the Porte Saint-Pierre, the medieval gate beside the cathedral, then takes in the Château des ducs de Bretagne, Place du Bouffay, Feydeau, Place Royale, the Passage Pommeraye, Place Graslin and the Cathédrale Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul, finishing at the Hôtel de Ville. Roughly a thousand years, medieval to nineteenth century: the dukes, the wars of religion, the merchant fortunes that built the Feydeau facades. The castle is a stop on the route, not a ticket — you see the walls and the courtyard, and the museum inside stays a separate ticket if you want it. The live guide is included; food and transport tickets are not, and transport is not needed.
